I am a British writer living and working in Paris. I write about art, literature and film, and like interviewing interesting people with curious stories to tell. My current fetishes are art forgery, cryptocurrency, the dark web, awkward social dynamics, and storytelling in the age of TikTok.  

I completed a PhD and a post-doctoral research fellowship at the University of Oxford where I worked on modern literature, particularly poetry, mainly in French but with some American and British writers too. My first book “Contemporary French Poetry” was published in July 2021 by academic imprint Legenda. I am represented by Sabhbh Curran at Curtis Brown and am currently working on my first novel.

My writing has appeared in Prospect Magazine, Literary Review, The London Magazine, Wasafiri, ArtReview, 3:AM Magazine, Art+Auction, Modern Painters, The Public Domain Review, Review 31, as well as in academic journals French Studies, Comparative Literature, Paragraph, French Cultural Studies, Formes Poétiques Contemporaines, and Modern Languages Open.
